Glasgow’s SEC is hosting Scotland’s biggest comic con this weekend.
The event is a celebration of all things fantasy, sci-fi and superhero.
People dressed up as their favourite characters spoke to BBC Scotland News as they queued to get into the event.
On Saturday, ACME Comic Con included a “cosplay catwalk”, where attendees could show off their costumes, plus the opportunity to meet the cast of video game Baldur’s Gate and talks from comic writers.
One event-goer told BBC Scotland News: “It’s a good form of expressionism.
“If you find yourself in daily life just being introverted or unhappy with anything, it’s a form of escapism I find.”
The two-day event continues on Sunday 29 September.
