Natural Six is a UK-based actual play video series featuring the video game performers and personalities Harry McEntire, Ben Starr, Hollie Bennett, Alex Jordan, Doug Cockleand Aoife Wilson. Since then, the group has shared ten episodes on their YouTube channel which has over 850,000 views in less than one year. Now in 2024, one year on from their debut to a live audience, they will return with a Dungeons & Dragons live show on Friday 25th October at 4:30pm. This live play session will feature a standalone adventure giving attendees familiar and new to Natural Six a taste of their creativity. Banzai Japan Music Video Fans of this band of adventurers will be able to meet… Harry McEntire – Natural Six’s captain and Dungeon Master, Harry has been a fan of Dungeons & Dragons for years and is also known for voicing Noah in Xenoblade Chronicles 3 and for playing Æthelwold in The Last Kingdom. Ben Starr – Best-known for being the voice of Clive Rosfield in SQUARE ENIX’s FINAL FANTASY XVI, Ben brings to life Raidion Thornbear. Raidion is on a quest to right the wrongs that befell his family before he found himself entangled in the Web. Hollie Bennett – With over 10 years experience in the games industry, Hollie is a multi-award-winning content creator, PR and Community Manager and will be recognised from her time with PlayStation Access. First time Dungeons & Dragons player, she plays the formidable fighter Endellion Rinnan. Alex Jordan – With over 60 credits to his name, Alex is a seasoned voice actor in the video game world, including Mr Hands in Cyberpunk 2077, and soon to be heard as lead protagonist Rook in Dragon Age: The Veilguard and Jan Dolski in The Alters. Alex brings his breadth of experience to their character, I, the people’s Princess. Doug Cockle – The voice of Geralt in The Witcher video games series, Doug is an award-nominated and winning actor with over 25 years of experience in theatre, film, television, video games, and voice overs. He gives life to Kelnys, a druid that hails from the Walking Forest of Lathi. Aoife Wilson – Writer, producer and content creator Aoife is no stranger to Dungeons & Dragons, hosting campaigns for D&D in a Castle and Wizards of the Coast. This comes alongside other careers content and learning opportunities, such as the EGX Career Fair and creative workshops led by experts in their fields. Book Novotel Hotel ReedPop chose three young winners to attend the recent MCM x EGX show at the end of October, including an up-and-coming writer, video game designer and comic book artist. Each winner received entrance to the show, a bespoke itinerary designed to maximise the value and connections they get out of the experience, a hotel stay close to the event, and a cash prize of £500 to jumpstart their creative endeavours. Profiles on the three winners can be found below and a showreel chronicling their experience at the show can be found HERE Banzai Japan Music Video Muyembe Mwanza Muyembe is a writer passionate about storytelling and amplifying underrepresented voices, and she’s currently working on two novels and has written articles for several websites. Her goal is to publish her novels, gain inspiration from the show and be part of the writing community. Muyembe was able to meet with leading authors V. E. Schwab, Veronica Roth and Sabaa Tahir and learn about writing, publishing and their unique journeys to where they each are today. Faith Molloy An aspiring video game artist, Faith is currently studying Video Game Art and Design at De Montfort University. She has experience as a concept artist with Facepie Productions, working on fan and parody games, and has also apprenticed at Rebellion Studios, gaining hands-on experience in animation rigging for video games. Her goal is to work as a professional concept artist. The founder of Roucan and organiser of W.A.S.D, David Lilley, set Faith up with a series of 1-on-1s with game developers relevant to her interests at the EGX Career Fair, giving her access to guiding hands into the video games industry. Leigh Licorish Leigh aspires to work in comics as a penciller and has experience in all aspects of comic illustration, contributing to fan comics and charity projects. These include TFNation’s yearly comic and a fan continuation of Archie’s Sonic the Hedgehog comics. Their goal is to work for franchises like Star Trek, Sonic or Power Rangers, but they are also interested in being a concept artist for AAA game titles. Alex Rae, Comic Publishing Talent Manager at ReedPop discussed comic careers with Leigh, who is now planning to join the other talented comic artists in Artist Alley for the first time in 2025. The convention, which took place 25 July to 28 July, is a comic book and culture event that draws around 100,000 attendees to San Diego each year. Police say Comic-Con has been used by human traffickers to seek out potential victims. The arrests were made after an operation that was conducted by California’s Human Trafficking Task Force over the course of the convention, according to California attorney general Rob Bonta. Book Novotel Hotel https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BJsGZL-zb54 “Unfortunately, sex traffickers capitalise on large-scale events such as Comic-Con to exploit their victims for profit,” Mr Bonta said in a statement on Tuesday. “These arrests send a clear message to potential offenders that their criminal behavior will not be tolerated.” Police were focused on targeting sex buyers at the convention, recovering potential victims of sex trafficking as well as arresting traffickers, according to the California Department of Justice. Officers worked undercover as sex buyers to identify potential victims and arrest their traffickers. They also posted undercover advertisements soliciting sex to catch and arrest sex buyers. In total, 14 sex buyers were arrested. Nine adult potential victims of sex trafficking were recovered and offered social services, as well as one 16-year-old. San Diego’s sheriff Kelly Martinez said that “there is no more insidious crime than human trafficking”. “I appreciate the focus that was placed on the recent convention to identify and rescue victims of human trafficking,” Sheriff Martinez said. It is estimated that there are 27.6 million victims of human trafficking worldwide at any given time, according to the US Department of State. More than 2,000 people were referred to US attorneys for human-trafficking offenses in 2021, according to the US Bureau of Justice Statistics.
