The human beatboxing follower slices into the spotlight. WACCHA is back for Japan Expo 2025
Who is this man with a katana with one hand and a microphone in the other? Whose rhythm is sharper than its blade?
This is WACCHA, a beatboxer who grabs him cappellated in covers of video game music, anime and popular Japanese songs on his YouTube channel.
His primary instrument: his voice, a melody that he changes so early into percussion, making him a human drum drum machine.
Loving vivante“living” music, it is inspired by typical Japanese sounds by including Western influences. Using a loop station, WACCHA also makes improvisation new live songs on stage.
His faithful sabre serves to accompany his concert with a choreography, using his body in his performances.
